On March 11, 2008 City officials joined El Cajon Fire Chief Mike Scott for the ribon cutting ceremony of the new Fire Station 8 located at 1470 East Madison Avenue in El Cajon. As part of the opening ceremonies for the dedication of the new El Cajon Fire Station 8, members of the Viejas Fire Department provided the El Cajon Fire Department with a check donation in the amount of $2,200 toward framing of photographs for the walls of the new fire station on Madison Avenue.
