Dave Truttman receives Masonic award from Chief Mike Scott
El Cajon Fire Chief Mike Scott is proud to present Firefighter Dave Truttmann as the El Cajon Firefighter of the Year for 2009.
Firefighter Truttmann is our most senior firefighter and has served the community of El Cajon for 30 years. He started his career in El Cajon in 1979. During that time he has responded to thousands of fires, rescues and medical emergencies. He has approached each incident with a high level of professionalism and compassion for those affected by these emergencies.
He is not being recognized merely for his length of tenure, but for his continued level of commitment and attitude to his responsibilities as a firefighter. He is an aggressive firefighter that truly loves his job and cares for the citizens of El Cajon as well as his fellow firefighters. Dave shows up to work with a smile on his face everyday. Dave is always contributing to the team, has a strong work ethic and is a great example of what a firefighter should be.
