The "Vial Of Life" is now available at the main offices of the El Cajon Fire Department located at 100 E. Lexington Avenue. This brochure holds your vital health care information and speaks for you when paramedics, firefighters or law enforcement respond to your home for an emergency. It tells us of any health issues you may have and current medications you are taking in the event you are unable to speak or unconscious. The Vial of Life also comes with a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) form and a health information card to carry in your wallet.

The Vial of Life was made possible through a $15,000 grant provided by Grossmont Healthcare District. This generous donation made it possible for El Cajon Fire, La Mesa Fire, Santee Fire, Lakeside Fire, San Miguel Fire District and the Viejas Fire Department to provide these Vials of Life for each of their cities.
